Pros: Lots of features.
Free of charge.
No downloads (so long as you already have java installed).
You can register your own profile.
Members can display their own pictures.
Cons: The limitations of DigiChat prevent complete integration of chat rooms and other website features, such as member profiles. It's not possible to see which of your friends are logged into the chat unless you log in yourself. DigiChat requires java to be installed and enabled on your system.
Summary: Chatmaze has an outstanding free chat, complimented with forums, member profiles, and many other features.
